Halloween originated from Europe that was brought to America by immigrants from Ireland and Scotland in the 19th century, and then began to be celebrated as a holiday. October 31st, believed to be the dividing two worlds, the human world and the spirit world. Then carved pumpkins called Jack O Lantern mounted on the front porch as a repellent reinforcements of spirits roaming in the day so as not to get in the house and gave the disease or disaster.
Since we are in the middle of October you had better get started thinking about how you are going to scare the children (and maybe even the adults) when they come visiting in hopes of collecting their treats.
