Originals residence located in Limpopo, South Africa is already old and outdated. The owners then commissioned Nico Van Der Meulen Architects to redesign the house. Their task is to reconstruct this old house into a modern dwelling house with lots of natural lighting and reduce excessive heat in the house. Home Remodeling eventually enlarges the living area of 343 m2 to 494m2.
The initial design of the vaulted roof of the house and made of heavy stone was replaced with steel and glass, the walls are also made using the same materials. Finally, a residential house with a new design looks modern and open in any direction make this residential house looks attractive and beautiful.
The glass wall with the size and the large number allows natural sunlight into the house as much as possible; the structure is lightweight and well-insulated space allows the air in the room quickly became cold at night so the air inside the home can be controlled properly.
